عن هذا المكان خليج غنينا

Gnejna Bay, located near Mgarr on the island of Malta, is a well-known destination for the queer community seeking a relaxed and inclusive beach experience. This secluded bay, characterized by its distinctive orange sand and rocky western side, has become Malta's unofficial naturist and gay beach. It offers a more laid-back atmosphere compared to some of the more bustling tourist spots, making it an ideal escape for LGBTQ+ travelers looking to unwind. Visitors can expect a natural and relatively undeveloped setting. The rocky sections provide interesting topography, and the bay's seclusion means it's a place where many feel comfortable being themselves. While it's a naturist-friendly space, it's also simply a beautiful beach that attracts a diverse crowd, including a significant queer presence. It's a place to soak up the Mediterranean sun, enjoy the sea, and connect with fellow travelers in a welcoming environment. The journey from St. Julian's, approximately 13km away, is part of the adventure to reach this hidden gem. As a designated LGBTQ+ venue, Gnejna Bay offers a safe and affirming space. While it doesn't host specific organized events like drag shows or pride parades, its very existence and reputation serve as a point of gathering and celebration for the queer community in Malta. The vibe here is generally one of freedom and acceptance. It’s a place to enjoy the natural beauty of Malta away from the main tourist trails, offering a peaceful retreat for sunbathing, swimming, and simply enjoying a day at the beach in good company.

Unfortunately, we didn't like the beach very much because there were a lot of pebbles and seaweed in the water. There are stone slabs along the side from which you can jump into the sea and snorkel/dive. The beach bar, however, is great!
