About this place Gnejna Bay

Gnejna Bay (Il-Bajja tal-Gnejna) is a sandy cove on Malta's west coast near Mgarr, popular with families on its main beach. The LGBTQ+ and naturist crowd heads instead to the quieter rocky platform to the north, below the limestone cliffs towards Qarraba Bay (Ras il-Qarraba), reached by a short cliff path or by boat. That secluded stretch has long been one of Malta's informally gay- and nudist-tolerated spots. There are no facilities on the northern rocks, so bring water, shade and sturdy footwear. As with all Maltese coves, nudity is technically not permitted but is quietly tolerated at these out-of-the-way sections. The main bay has cafes, sunbeds and parking in summer; the gay-frequented section is a short walk beyond the crowds.

Unfortunately, we didn't like the beach very much because there were a lot of pebbles and seaweed in the water. There are stone slabs along the side from which you can jump into the sea and snorkel/dive. The beach bar, however, is great!
