About the venue
The Bank Bar is a small gay cabaret and entertainment bar on Scotswood Road in Newcastle's Pink Triangle, the cluster of LGBTQ+ venues around Times Square and the Centre for Life. The programme leans on karaoke, drag bingo and open-mic cabaret, and the crowd is mostly local and mixed…
“Food Was spot on.. lovely pizza & the Kebab was beautiful definitely be back again” — Dan Thompson, Google
“Found this place completely by mistake on the way to the arena for a gig. Beer was a reasonable price, music was incredibly camp and the drag DJ was hilarious. All put together, it was a brilliant hour spent here. If back in the area, then I'll be back here. Much better than the crappy trendy bars and terrible music with people in designer gear acting tough.” — Alfie Spencer, Google
