After being outed by her former best friend, Yamilet transfers to Slayton Catholic to protect her younger brother and start fresh. But keeping a low profile becomes nearly impossible when she meets Bo, the only openly queer girl at school. Bo is brilliant, confident, and frustratingly attractive, making Yamilet’s number-one rule incredibly hard to follow.

As Yamilet navigates complex family expectations, the trauma of deportation, and the pressure to fit in, she must decide if hiding who she is is worth the cost of losing a chance at true love and self-acceptance.
