Great experience. Quiet location, friendly service, terrific room with a fireplace, and a fancy restaurant!

The hotel is dirty and old. Walked into the room with a bottle of half drank beverage on the floor. The houskeeping just laughed it off. Hair in the bathroom. Cleanliness is questionable. The restaurant offer a small menu. The food is worse than a fast food place. Service is horrible.

Updated rooms, good restaurant. Fair price. Easy parking. We would stay again.

Booking with this hotel was the biggest struggle of our entire wedding. When we first found the beechwood everything seemed promising. Beautiful rooms, friendly staff, good location. Once we booked, the troubles began. As other reviews have mentioned, coordinating a wedding block was not pleasant. Communication required more follow up efforts on our end than should be necessary, it was like pulling teeth. At one point, my wife's calls were no longer being answered so we used a different number to reach the team. Then we started to hear issues with room bookings from our guests. So I called myself and was told that there was no room block under my name. Only after this shock did I learn of the call center the hotel uses that was telling guests there was no room block. You had to specifically get the front desk, not the call center. How is any guest calling supposed to know who is answering? Then, after we semi-resolved this issue, we realized that our room block pricing was, in some cases, $100 per night MORE than their base rates posted for the same dates!? As if the room block wasn't enough, when we toured we were told of a new fountain that was set to be done a full calendar year before our wedding. We figured even with 4 months of delays we would be fine. This promise was repeated and repeated over and over. We drove down to look at the hotel a month before our wedding. It was clear that there was 0% chance of this construction being done before our wedding, only then did the hotel stop promising it would be done. Our day arrived with full construction crews in the parking lot of the hotel. Ultimately our weekend worked out fine and everything went smoothly but I credit that to my wife. Diligent follow up, receipts and a understanding of the need to micro manage "Massachusetts Only AAA Four diamond boutique hotel" . The rooms are nice but I'm not sure if it was worth the hassle. Recently spent 5 days at Beechwood, and tacked on an extra night due to snow storm. It was an exceptionally positive experience. Front desk (Maya, Myles) were helpful and friendly, and the cleaning services were excellent. Special recognition goes to Tim in Sonoma Restaurant who went above and beyond to accommodate requests, as well as Alex. Great Experience!

Great staff, super clean

This was a comfortable and easily accessible place to stay. Plenty of parking, the rooms and bathrooms were nice and spacious, and the staff was kind.

We hosted an event at Beechwood hotel in September and I couldn’t be more pleased with how everything turned out. From start to finish, the experience was handled with professionalism and care. The planning process was smooth, and the team made sure our requests were thoughtfully considered and seamlessly incorporated. On the day of the event, everything ran like clockwork—timing, setup, and service were all spot-on. A special shoutout to BetteAnn Wallen, Chris Drzal, the banquet team (Alex, Jennifer, Tammy, Jill, Flavia) whose attention to detail and warm hospitality truly elevated the experience. They were responsive, gracious, and made sure that me and our guests felt well taken care of. Thank you to everyone at Beechwood Hotel for helping us create a memorable and stress-free event. I went back and forth about whether to write this review, but I decided to because I truly don’t want other couples to go through what we did. I would not recommend the Beechwood Hotel for a wedding room block. From the very beginning, communication was a challenge. We initially met with Onicia Mends, Director of Sales and Marketing, who seemed friendly but was difficult to get in touch with. Emails often went unanswered, voicemails weren’t returned, and getting clear information felt almost impossible. During our initial tour, most of our questions were met with, “We can’t accommodate that.” Only after we mentioned going with a different hotel did they agree to some of our requests, such as keeping the bar open later - which they later failed to honor. It was written in our contract that the bar would stay open until 1:00am, but when we arrived the day before the wedding, the manager claimed they had no record of that agreement. We also had numerous issues with our room block. At least ten guests told us they were informed there was no block under our names. Others were passed back and forth between the front desk and sales department, waiting on hold for long periods of time. Many guests never received confirmation emails, and when I called to confirm my own reservation, I was told there was no booking under my name - only to later find it had been misspelled. The booking process was unnecessarily difficult because the hotel doesn’t have an online system; all reservations had to be made over the phone, which only added to the confusion. When we arrived, we discovered that our bridal suite had been given to another guest with the same last name, and the same happened with the father of the groom’s room. The front desk staff offered no real solution. When I asked to speak with a manager, the associate rolled his eyes and said no one was available. He told us to “step aside” while he checked in other guests. I ended up in tears, and no one made any effort to help or even offer an apology. It was an incredibly stressful and disappointing experience from start to finish. While the hotel eventually comped our room and did keep the bar open until 1am, the final frustration came when we received a large bill for all guest drinks, despite having confirmed in advance that the bar would be cash only. The rooms themselves are beautiful, but the lack of organization, communication, and basic customer service completely overshadowed that. I truly wish we had chosen another hotel.
