Macedon Ranges Hotel & Spa

This place was a huge disappointment. The restaurant is closed so ignore that on your booking sites. Pool and hot tub disgusting stained and dirty. Day spa closed and running out of a hotel room. Furniture old and worn. Heating in room doesn't work and replaced by portable heater. No food provided not even a continental breakfast and we paid over $400 per night! No internet/ wifi available. Cancelled our second night. Long weekend ruined. Would not recommend. It's a shame as the views were fantastic but the experience was not.

Stunning location with breathtaking views. The rooms were clean and the spa bath looking out onto the mountain was a real hit. The manager was lovely and super accomidating. Highly recommended 🙌

Not a good experience, we arrived after checking hours, we were supposed to received a text with all information ( room number acces to swimming pool ) never received anything . With 3 kids we had to wait 1 hour before somebody answer to phone to us, and explain us how yo acces the room. Inside the room, No wifi- the TV not working, only way to watch something is with illegal DVD copy that DVD are all scratch . So not possible to watch a movie. The TV remote not working, TV Volume button not working either. One of the shower didn't work. The indoor pool was like a ice bath. Not very convenient with 3 kids after travelling for 3 hours. Not he best stay specially for the price we paid. We are sorry to say that we will not co.ing back and will not recommend this hotel at all. We havnt had a great experience

Block them on your credit card - after leaving this hotel - I just read reviews on Facebook - this place will charge your credit card . - "mini fridge charges" - even if you dont use any of their products

I recently stayed at Macedon Ranges Hotel and Spa and had a really good experience as a solo traveller. The room was big, spacious and felt very luxurious. The view from my room was amazing and the whole environment was calm and peaceful. Everything was extremely clean, both the room and the bathroom, and the towels were in great condition. The bed and pillows were comfortable, which made the stay even better. The only downside was the indoor pool. Even though it was a very hot day, the pool was quite cold as it doesn’t have a heater. Apart from that, everything was lovely. The receptionist lady was very nice, welcoming and helpful. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would happily come back again.

Not cleaned - flooded bathrooms - rude receptionist -- dont even bother to check prices - look for another

Just stay away from this hotel - filthy rooms, and not cleaned after guests - just use another motel (this is not a hotel btw)

Attended a function in the conference room. Dirty crockery and toilets could have been cleaner. Garden beds dreadful. No care factor whatsoever.

What an absolutely beautiful and unique part of Victoria! The Macedon Ranges has so much to offer — from breathtaking views and charming towns to an incredible selection of wineries and restaurants. There’s plenty to do and see, with friendly locals and a relaxed country vibe that makes it easy to unwind. Our hotel stay was superb — spacious rooms, super comfortable beds, and stunning views from every angle. It was close to everything, beautifully maintained, and we honestly couldn’t complain about a thing. Things do tend to close a little early, but that’s part of the region’s charm. Overall, it’s a place full of fun, food, smiles, and scenery. A perfect spot to escape, explore, and enjoy every moment! 🍷🌿✨

Lovely big room, however the shower leaked water, shower head is old, the bed was very hard and uncomfortable and would move if trying to sit up to read or watch TV. The pillows were flat and hard, we had a terrible night sleep and our towels had holes! The Anko cutlery was even mismatched and slightly bent, additionally we had no instructions on how to use gas heater View was great and spa is great size for 2 adults, but I really think a bit more love needs to be put into the rooms.
