About the event

Go on an unforgettable date with That Blind Guy – where storytelling meets standup comedy

Come out of three closets with Karan Nagrani aka That Blind Guy™️  – keynote speaker, content creator, disability advocate, and yes, a blind influencer (who knew that was a thing?). With his tagline “Pretty Fly for a Blind Guy”, Karan takes you on a journey that’s hilarious, heartbreaking, and deeply human.
What’s it like coming out – not once, not twice, but three times as a blind, gay person of colour? It’s not a journey for the faint-hearted, but Karan walks it with courage, sass, and a wicked sense of humour.
A born storyteller and natural comedian, Karan brings unfiltered honesty to everything he does – whether he’s speaking to packed events or cracking jokes on Instagram. His story of gradually losing his sight is raw and real: how would you cope knowing your world was slowly fading to black? But this isn’t just a story of loss – it’s one of transformation. Emerging from the shadows of vision loss and mental health struggles, Karan has become a passionate voice for inclusion and disability rights, shaking up stereotypes and challenging what it means to truly see people.
Named Community Ambassador for Midsumma Festival (2024, 2025 and 2026), ChillOut Festival Ambassador (2023), and Darwin Pride Ambassador (2024), Karan is on a mission to make the LGBTQIA+ community more accessible, inclusive, and kind.
So… ready for a date you won’t forget?
