蝴蝶酒吧 (Butterfly)

Butterfly (蝴蝶酒吧) is a gay bar on the third floor of the Ruidong Center on Dongdajie in Jinjiang District, a short walk from the Chunxi Road shopping area. Chinese-language gay guides list it as a long-running 同志 bar known for drag and dance shows, with a mixed crowd of locals, students and visitors. It opens at 9pm every night and runs until about 4:30am, and shows draw the biggest crowds on weekends. Chengdu has one of mainland China's more relaxed gay scenes, but keep a low profile on the street. Online reviews are very thin, so confirm it is open before heading over.
