Boutique Hotel Kon Tiki Tahiti

We stayed two nights at the end of our trip to French Polynesia. The hotel is very well located, but the proximity of a bar makes access a bit of a concern, as there's no room to arrive and leave. The actual bar is excellent and very good, and the restaurant is also very good.

Fantastic experience at Kon Tiki! We received a very warm welcome. The staff are incredibly friendly and the rooms are spacious and lovely! The hotel is very pleasant, with a coffee shop, a delicious restaurant, and a rooftop terrace perfect for watching the sunset. The hotel is well-located, right across from the ferry terminal for Moorea and not far from town and the market. We especially want to thank Clément and Warren, who welcomed us on Thursday evening. A huge thank you to them for their hospitality and helpful advice during our stay! 😁

Rooms were clean, service was excellent. Bathroom was weird, I don't like that the shower had no door, that design always allows water everywhere. Sink was to shallow and no place to hang towels (minor complaints, just design choices I would not make) Overall, great location, good service and no complaints except the elevator is really small. 4 people max so if it's busy you should take the stairs.

We got the Polynesian cabins for two nights, having arrived late the first night. It is definitely a tight space, but thanks to hotels and guests' descriptions, we were mentally prepared. That said, service was very friendly and efficient, lounge area for cabins was generous and comfortable, cabins were very clean and included a mini fridge, each bunk with a tv, and fun lighting. Shared bathrooms were very well-maintained, which I was happy with given some mixed reviews. Short walk to market area. Lots of food options nearby, ferry right across the street. For us, it was a perfect first couple night stay in French Polynesia before embarking to the other islands, where we spent more on lodging. Great value. Having arrived late at night we went to the rooftop bar. Cool for a first drink and view in Tahiti, but the kitchen had just closed so we went for pizza next door. With a bit more research we probably could have found some local fare. Highly recommend this hotel. Will be staying in a cabin again on our way out, given our late night flight.

We arrived on a super busy day, at 9:30 am the lobby was full and yet the staff was very welcoming. Our luggage was stored and we were invited to wait at their common area in the 1st floor. The beds very comfy and the housekeeping staff kept the common areas immaculate. The shared bathrooms were spot less, very clean at all times. The reception staff was always helpful when we asked for suggestions. The location is premium! Their rooftop bar was amazing and they had amazing views and near perfect sunset over the bay. Their cafe downstairs was AMAZING for breakfast… suggest getting the room with breakfast included.
