★☆☆☆☆ — Four Points by Sheraton, Ahmedabad | Stayed June 9–10, 2026 “Four Points to a Perfect Disappointment” After nearly 50 nights across Marriott Bonvoy properties — dutifully accumulating points, faithfully trusting the brand — I finally discovered what Silver Elite status actually gets you at Four Points by Sheraton Ahmedabad: absolutely nothing. Not a welcome drink. Not a room upgrade. Not even the basic human dignity of a chair that doesn’t attempt to assassinate you. Let us begin with the room. Calling it a double bedroom is an act of creative fiction that would make a Booker Prize novelist blush. It was less a room and more a philosophical experiment in how much square footage two adult human beings can forfeit before filing a missing persons report on their own personal space. The almirah — and I genuinely wish I were making this up — was inside the bathroom. Not near it. Inside it. Presumably because the architect ran out of wall space, options, and self-respect simultaneously. I hung my clothes between the shower head and the soap dish. Lovely. The chair deserves its own paragraph, because it nearly earned its own insurance claim. A gentle sit — not a leap, not a bounce, a sit — resulted in a near-collapse that would have been the most exciting thing to happen in that room since it was presumably last renovated during the Vajpayee administration. Four Points by Sheraton: where the furniture has given up on life much like the hospitality team has given up on service. The welcome drink promised by Bonvoy’s Silver Elite assurance? Absent. Vanished. Non-existent. Perhaps it was in the almirah inside the bathroom. I didn’t check thoroughly enough. Fifty nights of loyalty. Fifty nights of brand trust. Rewarded with a dingy cupboard masquerading as a room, furniture plotting against my lumbar spine, and all the warmth of a GST invoice. The silver lining — truly the only silver in this Silver Elite experience — is that I took the lesson to heart immediately. My very next trip: Novotel Mumbai, Accor. Spacious room. Actual welcome. A chair that behaved like a chair. The Courtyard Marriott Marriott was on my shortlist. It didn’t make the cut. Neither, I’m afraid, did you. Four Points. Zero stars. One very expensive lesson in brand misplacement.

During my recent visit, I had an absolutely delightful stay. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. Kajal at the reception even provided an upgrade to one rooms to a Suite on request which made more special to us. The food at the restaurant was exceptional — every dish was flavorful, beautifully presented, and prepared with great care. It truly elevated the entire experience and left me looking forward to each meal. A special mention must go to the hostess, Suman from Bihar. Her gracious hospitality, attentiveness, and genuine warmth made the dining experience even more memorable. She ensured everything was perfect and added a personal touch that made us feel valued as a guest. Overall, it was a wonderful combination of excellent stay, delicious food, and outstanding service. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable experience

I had an incredibly distressing experience at this hotel, not just because of an outside incident, but because of the shocking lack of empathy and professionalism from the hotel staff. While at the hotel premises, an external delivery partner became highly aggressive and verbally abused me in public right in front of the reception area. Instead of assisting a guest who felt unsafe, the hotel staff chose to minimize the incident. When I approached management regarding the issue, the reception team dismissively told me it was my "internal business." To make matters worse, staff members actively took the side of the abusive delivery person, claiming they didn't hear the insults, and flatly refused to cooperate or even review their security footage to confirm the timeline. A hotel should be a safe space for its guests. The staff here showed zero care for customer safety, lacked basic decency, and actively gaslit me after I was publicly harassed on their property. I would highly caution anyone—especially solo travelers—against staying here if you value safety and professional service. Absolutely unacceptable.
