I had a very disappointing experience at Humsafar. I visited three times, each time taking leave from work, based on what was advised by the doctor and staff there. Despite this being my third visit, I was told again that I needed to get more tests done. This could and should have been communicated clearly during the first visit instead of making me come back repeatedly. What made the experience worse was the doctor’s behavior. I was told things like “you’re 22, stop acting like 50 and taking leaves” and later commented on for having “so much attitude,” which was extremely unprofessional and hurtful. I was already making an effort to prioritize my health despite work constraints and even an injury, yet I was told that I “don’t care about my health,” which was very upsetting and unfair. I came for the third visit specifically because I was informed earlier that a prescription would be provided without additional tests. I even called beforehand, but the information I received over the phone conflicted with what the doctor and staff had told me earlier, leading to confusion and wasted time. After multiple visits, I still did not receive proper guidance or a clear plan, only more tests and no diagnosis. Better communication, consistency, and basic empathy from the medical staff would have made a huge difference. This experience was mentally exhausting and worsened by injury.
