It is advisable to improve cleaning and maintenance.
We stayed at The Post Hostel last week during our trip to Jerusalem and we absolutely loved it. Honestly, if you are looking for a place that is budget-friendly but still super clean, stylish, and full of life, this is the perfect spot. First off, the location is incredible. It’s right near the Central Post Office building (hence the name) and just a quick 2-minute walk to the Jaffa Street light rail station. We could walk to the Old City through the Jaffa Gate in about 10 or 15 minutes, and it’s also really close to Mahane Yehuda Market, which was awesome for grabbing food at night. The hostel itself has such a cool, laid-back vibe. The common areas are huge, beautifully designed, and just really comfortable to hang out in. They have a fantastic rooftop terrace where we sat in the evenings to relax and chat with other travelers. The atmosphere makes it so easy to meet people if you are traveling solo or just want to socialize. Our room was great—very clean, modern, and the beds were surprisingly comfortable for a hostel. The AC worked perfectly, which was a lifesaver after a long day of walking around in the sun. Also, a huge shoutout to the staff at the front desk. They were incredibly welcoming, gave us some excellent local recommendations for places to eat that weren't tourist traps, and helped us figure out the best routes around the city. I’d definitely stay here again next time I'm in Jerusalem. It really made our trip a lot of fun.
Very affordable and cheap price for the very central location: on the light rail, right near the Jaffa Gate, close to bars that are open on Saturday. Beautiful balcony, beautiful design of the lobby, we stayed in a small double room. Basic but satisfying breakfast, there is free water and coffee all day.
I was a guest from 9.-12.6. First I stayed for one night in a cheap shared room with a bad experience, but for a reasonable additional price I got my own 2-hour room with "all the goodies", including good air conditioning, which was needed! Overall rating 5 stars for this pleasure! 🙋🏻 Excellent service, and the City Hall light rail stop is only a little over 100m away!
But one of the chefs looked at the customers very strangely. And he looked at me very strangely when I got my food. But in rest it's very good there.
