About this place Ivy Bar & Cabaret

Ivy Bar & Cabaret is the main LGBTQ+ bar in Wellington, at 63 Cuba Street in Te Aro. It grew out of the older Club Ivy, which moved here from Dixon Street. There is a bar at street level and a cabaret space upstairs, and the programme is built on live queer performance: drag shows, cabaret, comedy, karaoke and a book club, with DJs taking over later in the night. It opens Wednesday to Saturday from the evening and is effectively the city's gay club as well as its bar. It runs a zero-tolerance harassment policy. The Cuba Street rainbow crossing and most central hotels are a short walk away. Google gives it 4.0 from about 150 reviews.

So much fun!! Came when it was pretty slow on a Sunday but had an amazing time doing karaoke that the bartender joined in on. So much fun so inclusive would definitely go again
