Gay Saunas in Makati
Makati has one discreet, members-only gay bathhouse: Altermale, better known on the scene as The We'reHouse. It is tucked away on Marconi Street in the quiet residential barangay of San Isidro, on the western edge of the city. There is no signage out front — regulars find it beside a small neighbourhood store — and inside it runs as a members' sauna and social house with a maze of dark corridors and cabins, a small bar and karaoke, and masseurs available.
It is a low-key, locals-oriented spot rather than a slick commercial spa, so expect a modest entrance fee and a members' policy on arrival, and it is worth confirming current hours before making the trip. The larger, long-established gay saunas of Metro Manila are in neighbouring cities such as Pasay, but within Makati proper Altermale is the one dedicated gay bathhouse.
