The hotel doesn't live up to its advertised standards. We were only able to spend a day there, out of the seven we paid for. Firstly, the room was so damp that dry clothes became damp, and drying anything wet was completely impossible. There was no hot water, and the beach was a whole other story. In fact, there wasn't a beach at all, just a ridge of rocks, so there was no access to the water. If you go far to the left, where the locals' houses (boats) are, you'll see a pipe leading out into the middle of the beach. When it rains, this pipe drains water from the road above, along with all the dirt and trash, directly into the sea (we were lucky enough to see this). They don't even try to clean the advertised beach near the hotel, removing trash and stinking seaweed. The rooms themselves were okay, but the air conditioner roared like a jet, probably 80 dB. And the exhaust fan in the bathroom is a full 120 dB... the noise is simply unbelievable. The dogs that live on the beach are a whole other story – they're all mangy and sick, and of course, they shit there. Photos and videos of the beach and the pipes below are available. The pool, by the way, is also very dirty. The breakfasts are okay, but! We booked a room for three, but they only gave us enough food for two adults – and we had to pay for the child's meals, which is quite a bit by island standards. There's absolutely nowhere to go outside the hotel; there aren't even any shops, only driving. The nearest civilization is a 2-kilometer walk along the beach. Bottom line – don't even try to ruin your vacation! We left after 24 hours; they refused to refund us, and we filed a complaint with Booking.com. Incidentally, the Hennan Hotel cost us the same as this one. But the difference is like a propeller plane and first class on a Boeing!
Good clean hotel, with good food and service, one reception staff seems very arrogant. First time i seen safety deposit boxes at reception accessible only by a guest key and reception key ,very safe. Hotel has a 24 hr ice making machine and cold water.Showers have good pressure and bathroom was overall good. However if you want peace and quiet this is a ideal hotel but far from main DMall The beach is nice with a good bar and restaurant close by Overal very acceptable place to stay.
I’ve stayed here almost a month snd I loved this place indeed. Very helpful stuff, good room service, drinkable water and ice in full access 24/7, regular shuttle to the shopping malls and restaurants spots. Their restaurant is my fav on the whole island — they have best chef and fresh ingredients. The place is quiet and clean, has some shops snd restaurants walkable distance. I met no loud crowds of other tourists, no noice at nice. Guests of the hotel was from all over the world and also nice and polite people.
The rooms are very good and spacious, the staff are very accommodating and the food is very delicious mas masarap pa sa ibang resto. And the price is very reasonable
My family and I had a wonderful stay in Microtel Boracay. From the inquiries, I was entertained by the front office staff, which I highly appreciated. They have given us some small gift during Mother's Day which was a thoughtful gesture for moms like me. Breakfast food was great. You can select from different types. 2 breakfast mornings my mom and brother were surprised as the staff sang a happy birthday song and gave delicious cheesecake. Just to comment is that the hotel smells smoke (siga) coming from the neighbourhood. And it the smell comes inside the room as well. Staff were very accommodating and warm. Special mention to Apple and Wade from FnB, Richyll and Joemar from Front Office, Remboy and Marlon from Transportation. They went extra mile to provide great service. Overall, we loved our stay. Price was value for money. It was relaxing and peaceful indeed. Will be back and recommend this to my friends.
We had a wonderful experience staying at Microtel Boracay for a week. The room was spacious, cold and the staff were friendly and very accommodating. They allowed us to borrow a small spoon for our infant, helped us hang our baby's clothes on the rooftop, and provided coffee, refreshments, and extra napkins whenever we needed them. What I appreciated the most was the bathroom, which had plenty of hooks and an available clothing line. Having stayed at various hotels in my life, I can confidently say that Microtel's bathroom was the most convenient for a family like ours, especially since we planned to swim a lot. The only downside was the location; it would be great if the shuttle had an hourly schedule, as our baby's needs change from time to time. But if you don’t mind paying an e-bike, transportation wouldn’t be a problem.
The staff was incredibly friendly and efficient. Room was spacious, and a comfortable bed, good Wi-Fi, easy check in and out, food was delicious with variety of menu to choose from.
