Z Hostel

I stayed here July 3-6 and had an amazing and fun experience! especially the rooftop bar where i met most people that i became friends with! and also big thanks to Lalesca for helping me socialize with other people, very sweet and kind woman, she always make sure that i won’t feel lonely all the time and she even told me to go with her at the rooftop and hangout with other people and socialize! so yeah, my stay at Z Hostel was indeed amazingly fun! actually i booked another stay here from July 16-19 ‘cause i love it >_<

Lesca and Abeer gave the best tour ever, got to try some amazing street food and the hostel is very nice

Rey was the best guide in Manila! Learned lots of words and tried balut, I definitely recommend staying in the Z hostel! Safe, fun rooftop and great kind filipinos everywhere

Smack dab in the middle of Poblacion. Walking distance from all the bars and restaurants (Some are literally in front of them). A little bit pricey for walk-in rates, so I recommend booking in advance. Wifi could be improved. The breakfast food in their restaurant also has room for improvement (but you have plenty of options outside anyway).

Our stay started on a wonderful note thanks to Christine, who is one of the best receptionists we've ever met. She is warm, professional, and truly represents hospitality. She made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. During our 9-night stay, we experienced a few housekeeping issues. Despite leaving early and placing the housekeeping sign on our door, our room wasn't serviced twice, and on another occasion we weren't given a floor towel. We never complained because we understand these things happen. Unfortunately, we had several unpleasant interactions with one receptionist. She twice tried to charge us over towels, and although it was only 100 pesos, the amount was never the issue its literally NOTHING. We also had an uncomfortable incident where one of us was stopped and taken out of the elevator by the doorman in an unwelcoming manner to ask for our room number. What disappointed us most was not the housekeeping issues or the money, but the way we were treated. We even received old, discolored towels during the first few days and still chose not to complain because we valued kindness and good service more than small inconveniences. Overall, our stay was excellent, and without these repeated interactions with the unwelcoming receptionist and the doorman, we would have happily given this hostel 5 stars. Unfortunately, those experiences affected our overall impression, so we are giving less instead. Christine deserves special recognition for her exceptional professionalism and kindness—she is truly a great asset to the hostel.

The roof too bar is amazing. Met few of the volunteers. AJ and Gabriel. Theyre fun and very friendly, we even played some fun games. Must visit!
