About this place UP Babaylan

UP Babaylan is the LGBTQ+ student organisation of the University of the Philippines Diliman, founded in 1992 and one of the oldest university queer groups in Asia. It runs advocacy campaigns, education and discussion events, and peer support for students. It has also taken part in national LGBTQ+ campaigns, including pushing for an anti-discrimination law. It is a campus organisation, not a venue, and most of its activities are for UP students. Visitors can watch for its public events around Pride month in June through its social media.

The place is very homey, the ambiance is very unique, and the staff's greeted us with a warm smile that makes us feel more welcome. Their alacarte is superb me and my family love it 👍 especially the Sinigang na Bangus sa Bayabas, VERY filipino and they used real guava for the soup, they didn't used any preservatives as in "NO MSG", that makes it more healthy especially to me because im pregnant. This place has a lot of things to offer, from pasalubong, coffee beans, they also got buffet to Authentic filipino Spa to relax (sadly i cant try their Hilot beacuse im pregnant, even i ask for it the therapist says no, mine and my baby's health is more important for them, im so touch though) . Very commendable place will definitely comeback. #happytummy #happybaby

There last 2days ago and was about to try their ala carte, little did I know they also offer buffet lunch/dinner with a spa service amounting to surprisingly as low as 800pesos only. Our first time and definitely not the last! Food were enjoyable, satisfying and the massage..., we can't get enough of it! Will probably be back, the soonest!

Tribu Babaylan is a one of a kind and unforgettable experience! Highly recommended and a very patriotic Concept. Proud to be Pinoy!

Got here yesterday to avail the suggested Buffet-Spa Package by my friend. Aloha! The spa is so cool yet serene. Imagine having the nipa hut "pawid" design inside the building. I never expected such design. The "Hilot" service is superb. Very relaxing. After the soothing spa, we went to the buffet to try Chef Laudico's masterpieces. Yes, the food never disappointed me. All are Filipino food and reminds me of being proud to be a Filipino. I will definitely invite friends to go here and I will definitely return to experience again the whole package.

I had a nice experience dining at Tribu Babaylan. The buffet features selected food from provinces in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Though my favorite was the Kare-kare and Bagnet!

The worst restaurant that purportedly serves fusion Filipino cuisine. Service is extremely bad. The shrimps are not fresh and it seems like everything is served with fish sauce.

Tribu Babaylan offers ala carte and buffet dining of Filipino dishes. Dishes serve are typical home-cooked style. Dining ambiance is of the usual “sari-sari” (mix of works of art, patterns/cultural items from different parts of the country) and “bahay kubo” themes.

I was surprised at how they have approached traditional and regional cuisines. For example, the humble pansit was surprisingly tasty and flavorful. Their mami is fully loaded and filling. Their lechon belly is out of this world. I would never look the same at these humble Filipino delicacies.

The management is very accommodating. We have been delivering bulks of food to our frontliner. Sir Jay-R never declined our request. The food is great and really enjoyable. Looking forward to more partnerships in the near future. May God bless your business so it may continue to prosper.
