I'm giving this spa a 2 star because of 1 major reason...that is one of the masseurs had an upper respiratory tract infection (cough and cold) without any mask or using alcohol in between when massaging. What makes it worse is he's actually breathing near me when massaging. After a day or 2, I had sore throat and post-nasal drip as a sign of impending colds. So unhygienic. People don't even follow health protocols now a days. It should be a standard that if you are feeling unwell or have signs and symptoms of any diseases, specially that can be contagious, you should have not gone to work because you are spreading a disease? The pandemic might be over but the virus still lingers and can still infect unsuspecting patrons/customers if employees are not careful. Another reason is that facility is aging and proper maintenance should be prioritized as well.

Experienced their massage a few times & all had been most satisfying. Spas are all over; many are good, most are so-so, & quite a few are topnotch—and Amistad is a class all it’s own. Book ahead, request for an experienced M/F therapist, & allot at least 3 hrs for the sauna, shower & massage (more if you want facials, nail & other pampering/self-care services). Come early and/or stay a while before your next engagement at their well-appointed lounge.

A lot of girls giggling around in the massage area and in the hallways, shouting "Helen", "Jen", and other names. Who are they, and why do these people think it's okay to shout inside the spa right outside the massage rooms? This was happening nonstop and was ruining the vibe of the place. Used to be a quiet place, apparently not anymore.

Massage was good. I did feel shortchanged because I paid for a 80-minute session but got massaged for only about 60 minutes.
