Kaohsiung Pride
About This Event
Kaohsiung Pride, southern Taiwan's main pride march, happens every autumn, a few weeks after Taipei's. The Kaohsiung City Pride Parade Alliance Association runs it, and 2025 marked its 16th edition - the first march was back in 2010.
It's an afternoon street march, followed by a stage and stalls, with costumes and drag performances along the way. The 2024 edition was at the Pier-2 Art Center, with the slogan "gender-friendly, enjoy Kaohsiung". In 2025, it moved to Fengshan District for the first time.
You can pair it with a Taipei trip, since it's late in the year. Taiwan's had same-sex marriage since 2019, and this march is more political than commercial. The 2025 theme was a voting pun, with organizers pushing 2026 local election candidates on gender-equality policy.
The last one was on Saturday, November 29, 2025, in Fengshan. Over 10,000 people participated, according to the official count reported by public broadcaster PTS. The 2026 date hadn't been announced when we checked.
