Hero Bar

If you're not a regular customer or a young, attractive person, you can skip this place. It's extremely noisy, the owner serves drinks at an average rate of one glass per hour, and they frequently play songs meant for regular customers. If you're not a regular, they basically won't even look at you. When I went, there was a slightly overweight, bespectacled female employee with long dyed hair who kept glaring at me and giving me the middle finger.

Located opposite the Knives Bar, access is restricted; you need to ring the doorbell to go upstairs. A bar suitable for both genders, It's very safe for women to drink here! Minimum spend starts at just $150 (beer and juice), The cocktails are all delicious, and you'll get drunk without even realizing it! There's also a karaoke room where everyone can sing along, The atmosphere is warm, relaxed, and friendly! The restrooms are fragrant and clean!

Alcohol is strong and staff are friendly. Nice atmosphere and they have karaoke too.

My first night in Taiwan and I went this magnificent bar. It’s small but it has a really good vibes. You feel at home. Staffs are really hospitable and they served the best passion fruit oolong cocktails at friendly prices. I sang karaoke so lovely. I will keep coming back here.

Found this place a bit cliquey. Sang a couple of karaoke songs and left after one drink. No-one but the staff talked to us and they pretty much left is alone. Blink and you'd miss it hole in the wall. Younger male local crowd.

My first visit was ok. As I arrived, the staff handed me a menu & said to order drinks at the bar (2F) & then I can go to 3F. TWD100 for a Taiwan Lager. My second visit was way worse. I arrived as another Customer arrived, & went in directly after him. The staff handed him a menu and told him the same: order here & csn go upstairs. The staff then handed me a menu and said "minimum order TWD400 per person. No mention of F3 to me. No mention of minimum order to the other Customer. I am European, and the other Customer is Asian. I am about 15-20 years older than the other Customer. So, Hero, are you ageist oŕ racist? In a country that actively celebrates diversity and equity.

The staff were handsome, and everyone was very nice, making it a wonderful evening for me.

Location Highlights: Located in the northern part of Ximending, I specifically came here because I was staying at a hotel across the street, which was very convenient. Activity Experience: I had just finished watching the Dadaocheng fireworks and was staying at Papa Whole when I suddenly noticed Hero Bar across the street, so I went in. It was mostly frequented by regulars, the staff were very welcoming, and they even had karaoke. The drinks were strong, and you could get larger drinks—pretty good! Atmosphere: Since I was going alone, I was really worried about getting bored. The staff kept coming over to chat, and the funniest thing was that they even exchanged information, keeping the conversation flowing and inviting other guests to join in, so I wasn't lonely at all—super awesome!! Recommended Items: Besides the basic drinks, I really liked the tea-infused liquor. The tea flavor softened the alcohol, and finishing with a special cocktail was delicious.
