Explorar Koh Phangan is an adults-only (16+) beach resort on Rin Nai Beach, a small bay on Koh Phangan's south-east coast between Ban Tai and Haad Rin. It is a mainstream resort listed as gay-friendly, not a gay venue. Reviews are excellent (4.8 from more than 2,100). The resort is set up for a quieter stay than Haad Rin itself, which is a short ride away and hosts the Full Moon Party each month. Expect Haad Rin, and rates, to be busy around full moon dates. 1. The reception staff were very helpful. 2. The pool is the highlight of the hotel, as it's an infinity pool. 3. The pool bar staff were super friendly. The bartender, "Star," was especially nice and good. 4. The hotel offers excellent value for money. 5. The beach isn't ideal for swimming, but you can go out in a kayak. 6. The location is a bit far from the city center, and the road there is somewhat hilly. 7. The rooms are very clean. All in all, a highly recommended hotel.
