Pavilion Place is a cheap, queer-friendly hotel at 840 Thanon Surawong, right in Bangkok’s Patpong, where rooms go for about 1,200 Baht on discount sites.
You get the basics: air conditioning, a bar fridge. Nothing fancy, but it’s fine for a few nights or even a longer stay.
Patpong is one of Bangkok’s oldest gay neighborhoods. Think lively bars, late nights, and a general vibe that’s good for queer travelers. Staying here puts you right in the middle of it all, with easy access to the wider gay scene.
The hotel itself is pretty chill about guests. No drama if you bring someone back to your room, which is a plus for many travelers.
Don't expect luxury. This is a no-frills spot that delivers on comfort and price. If you care more about where you are and how much you spend than about five-star amenities—or if you're just planning to be out exploring Bangkok’s nightlife anyway—this place works.

It's very expensive. 1800 on Wednesday and Thursday, and 2200 on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Great location
good
The location is very convenient, right in the heart of Silom. The room felt old. The TV was a CRT. The mini-fridge was covered in frost and couldn't hold anything. The worst part was the built-in air conditioner. It couldn't be adjusted and was so loud it was impossible to sleep or relax in the room. The hotel staff advised me to turn the air conditioner vents the other way if it was too cold, but that was about all I could do. The Wi-Fi connection was intermittent and didn't work well.
