Pattaya International Pride Festival
About This Event
Pattaya International Pride Festival takes over Beach Road in late June for three days, centered around a beachfront parade. It's a relatively new event, with the Thai press counting seven or eight consecutive years - there's no long-standing grassroots Pattaya Pride that came before it. Pattaya City is behind the planning, working with the Central Pattaya mall group, the Sisters Foundation (a local trans organization), and over 100 other partner groups.
The event kicks off with a beach competition on the first evening. Saturday is parade day, with the 2.8 km route running from Central Marina, past the Dolphin Roundabout, and along Beach Road to Central Pattaya. You'll see floats, performers, Thai celebrities, and influencers - and Beach Road will be closed to traffic. It's a municipal and mall production, so don't expect a protest march.
It's hot in late June, with afternoon storms a regular occurrence. The 2026 parade started at 4:30pm, which means it runs into sunset. If you're looking for a night out, Boyztown and Sunee Plaza - the gay bar areas - are just a short ride inland.
The 2025 edition, themed 'Celebrate Pride for All', drew over 3,000 people to the parade, which ran from 27 to 29 June. In 2026, the festival was scheduled for 26 to 28 June, with the parade on 27 June and the theme 'Proud in Every Shade, Celebrate Your True Light' - though we couldn't find coverage confirming attendance numbers. As of our last check, the 2027 dates hadn't been announced.
