Arlo Williamsburg

I recently stayed at Arlo Williamsburg and unfortunately my first impression was not a great one. Upon arriving, I discovered that the glass shower door in my bathroom was malfunctioning. The entire glass panel shook when opening the shower door, and the door itself was difficult to open and appeared to be stuck. After a long day of travel, all I wanted to do was take a shower and get some rest. I called the front desk and requested a room change, but was told that engineering would first need to inspect the issue before they could move me. I waited for assistance, and when someone finally arrived, they came with cleaning supplies because they had been incorrectly informed that the bathroom needed cleaning. I then called the front desk again to explain the situation and express that I was exhausted and simply wanted to be moved to another room. While the staff apologized for the mix-up, I was once again told that I needed to wait for engineering. After waiting even longer with no resolution, I eventually canceled the request altogether because I was too tired to continue dealing with the issue and just wanted to go to bed. For a hotel charging approximately $600 per night, I expected a much smoother customer service experience and a quicker resolution to a room maintenance issue. This was my first stay at Arlo Williamsburg, and unfortunately it was not the welcoming or seamless experience I had hoped for.

Did a staycation night here. Pool rooftop is very nice. The rooms are small but clean. Great bathroom space for a NYC hotel and the balcony views of the city were lovely. The elevators take forever there and in the evening people are going back and forth to the roof, so it was pretty unpleasant for that reason. I found our room to be quiet though considering the party happening on top of the hotel that night.

We held our wedding at Arlo Williamsburg with about 140 guests, and the venue itself is genuinely incredible. The ballroom is large and stunning, and the Mirror Bar is remarkably versatile; we used it for our rehearsal dinner, welcome event, the groom's getting-ready suite, pre-ceremony photos, staging during the reception, and our after party. We stayed in one of the suites, which doubled as a getting-ready space and comfortably held more than ten people at once, which is no small feat by NYC standards. We did our first look in the water tower, which has incredible views of lower Manhattan, and the neighborhood and location are hard to beat, with plenty for guests to do nearby. A huge part of what made our experience so special was working with Marcus and Kiley, who have been fantastic additions to the hotel. From the time we booked to our wedding day, we noticed so many positive changes at Arlo under their leadership, and it's clear they bring real depth of hospitality experience to the team. Both were responsive, thoughtful, and a genuine pleasure to work with at every step. Menu planning was collaborative; we shared feedback and they were receptive and executed beautifully on the day, thoughtful even about how each course was served so timing was efficient and our dance time was maximized. We opted for family-style service, which made the night run so much more smoothly in terms of getting food out to guests. The food itself was excellent and drew compliments throughout; we served the NY strip and the striped bass, with a rigatoni vegan option. With so many events across the weekend, their coordination stood out: they were patient, open to our ideas, and quick to offer smart solutions whenever a planning wrinkle came up, including all the cultural elements we wanted to incorporate. The broader staff, from bartenders to waiters and runners to bathroom attendants, were attentive and professional throughout. The whole team made our weekend seamless, and we’d happily recommend Arlo Williamsburg to other couples.

Whats there to tell? This place is always gem!

Hotel is shabby and noisy. The floor to ceiling windows with the view of Manhattan in the suite were covered with birdshit and dirt.The door to the patio would not close and blew open with the wind. Bathroom faucets broken. Frontdesk unresponsive. Absurdly slow elevator. Usually only one was working.

Have only been here for the Azure day parties on the roof, but they are fun. Cool space. Good music usually. Gorgeous views.

85 bucks for a screen and terrible DJ… Shame on u !!! Unacceptable

stay if you’re prepared to wait 5 hours on average for the elevator.

I had such a great time. Ceasar the bartender was extremely nice and provided great service. I felt so welcome and at home. Would definitely recommend and will plan on coming back in the future.

Ew, whoever I spoke to (after letting the phone ring for 3 minutes) at 1:35am Saturday morning was extremely rude and dismissive. I asked to be transferred to the front desk. I had a question about the rooftop party Sunday and he was very dismissive. I understand if you don’t have the answer, but there’s a way to say it. His tone was incredibly rude and dismissive. I planned on booking a room here for the event too but I think I’ll take my business elsewhere.
