About this place The Alexander, a Luxury Collection Hotel

The Alexander is Yerevan's most design-forward luxury property, a Marriott Luxury Collection hotel occupying a meticulously restored heritage building a short walk from Republic Square in the Kentron district. It is consistently considered one of the finest hotels in the South Caucasus, and for LGBTQ+ travelers it offers something beyond sheer luxury: the reliable, internationally calibrated service culture that comes with a global brand operating at the highest tier. The hotel's staff bring the same discretion and professionalism to all guests, and same-sex couples can expect their stay to be handled with complete normalcy. The interiors draw on Armenian artistic heritage without tipping into kitsch — the public spaces are genuinely beautiful, and the rooms are among the most comfortable in the city. Located in the Kentron neighborhood close to the Cascade and Northern Avenue, The Alexander puts guests in the most LGBTQ+-navigable part of the city while providing a private, luxurious retreat to return to.

If you have high standards like we do after years of international travel, then The Alexander will meet your every expectation. The suites are absolutely gorgeous and well appointed. The beds are extremely comfortable, and you can even custom order your own pillows (there is quite a variety on the pillow menu)! The shower is also amazing, which is a very important characteristic in a hotel room! The spa is magnificent with saunas and massages. The location is very convenient, connected to the Northern Avenue pedestrian walkway, and a short walk to Republic Square, Freedom Square, and the underground Tashir Street Shopping Gallery. The breakfast on the 12th floor offers exhilarating views of Yerevan and Mount Ararat (where Noah's Ark landed), and the food in this elegant restaurant is really spectacular! It's probably the best breakfast in Armenia! The 11th-floor heated pool and balcony are wonderful escapes. And a lovely bakery is attached to the lobby. This is the best hotel in the country of Armenia in our opinion!!

Excellent stay. The location is hard to beat with just about everything within walking distance. The rooms were beautiful and very comfortable. What really stood out was the staff. They were genuinely warm, welcoming, and always happy to help. I would definitely stay here again.
