About this place Hotel Das Weitzer

Hotel Das Weitzer is a long-established, family-run hotel on the Grieskai, the west bank of the Mur in central Graz. It is a mainstream hotel, gay-friendly rather than a gay venue, and it suits travellers who want to walk everywhere: the old town, Hauptplatz and the Kunsthaus are all a few minutes away across the bridges. The ground-floor Kaffee Weitzer works as a classic Viennese-style coffee house for breakfast or a break between sightseeing. With 2,600-plus Google reviews averaging 4.4, it is one of the better-known mid-range options in the city. Book direct or through the usual platforms.

The staff were exceptionally attentive and friendly. The bartender, in particular, did an outstanding job, despite the lounge being packed on the evening of the World Cup third-place match.
