The room and bathroom were spacious and very clean. You feel very welcome.

Good location near a bus stop, making it easy to get around. Breakfast options were available, the room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable, making for a pleasant stay overall. During check-in, we received a guest pass for public transport, which was a nice touch. One small downside was that we couldn’t find a ramp at the front entrance and had to carry our bags up the stairs — though it’s possible we weren’t aware of an easier access. There is a lift inside the hotel.

It's been a while since I've been able to leave such a positive review for hotels. The staff is incredibly friendly and explains how to check in after 8 pm using the room key and the button downstairs. The room has every TV channel imaginable... 24-hour Spanish TV. I've been complaining about hotels for years. This hotel changes the towels and cleans the room daily, including the bathroom. With the prices hotels are these days, they often cut services and charge the same or even more. This hotel maintains its services, and we got a deal through Booking.com. It's definitely worth staying at this hotel; it's 300 meters from the entrance to the old city, in a very convenient location. I requested a taxi to the airport at reception, they arranged it for me, and it arrived at the door in two minutes. It cost us €30. The room was very large, with two windows, an armchair, a table, a TV, and a desk. Separate bathroom, wardrobe, and refrigerator. In the room, there is a folder with information about the hotel's history, nearby places of interest, restaurants, supermarkets, hospitals, TV channels, etc.—very detailed and abundant information that is helpful to visitors. There is a Spar supermarket 200 meters away. And a Billiards hall 350 meters away.

It's a nice hotel run by generations of family members. Room was big, a little outdated but still acceptable. Considering the exorbitant prices of hotel in the city, this hotel is reasonably priced.

I strongly recommend avoiding this place. My room had bedbugs, and when I tried to get help, there was no staff available anywhere — no one at the front desk, no one answering phones, nothing. I was left to deal with the situation completely on my own. It’s unacceptable for any lodging to have bedbugs, but it’s even worse when there’s absolutely no one around to assist guests. This was an awful experience from start to finish. After contacting them directly about my concerns, I was called a liar and my reservation was canceled. After being canceled I was still charged.

Everyone was so kind and the place was amazing

I booked this hotel for our one night in Salzburg and we made arrangements for late arrival after reception had closed. When we got to our room and opened up the sofa bed it had many spots and bugs both living and deceased. The room also had long hairs lying around and the shower looked like it had not been cleaned. We were not comfortable staying in the room and moved to a nearby hotel. I messaged the Bergland to let them know my concerns and try to negotiate a refund with them. Their response to this was to tell me I was lying and cancel my reservation on their end so I was unable to leave a review through Expedia. However they still charged my credit card and refused to refund me for a dirty room that they ultimately cancelled.

Very pleasantly surprised by the hospitality and helpfulness. The rooms were immaculately clean and stylish. Impeccable service. Excellent and varied breakfast.

While I didn't stay there, when they were over booked they transferred me to the closest hotel and gave me brilliant service along the way

I spent two nights in this little paradise and immediately felt at home. The hosts are incredibly welcoming; such hospitality is truly rare these days! The vegetarian breakfast is simply fantastic and offers a huge selection. Anyone looking for a cozy, family-friendly place to recharge between excursions into the city will find this the perfect spot. Thank you so much for everything!
