Slam with Pride – Queerer Poetry Slam

On Friday, September 18, 2026, at 6:00 PM, Slam with Pride returns to Villa Vida Café. Look forward to a queer-normative poetry slam with self-written texts, diverse perspectives, and an open stage in the heart of Vienna.

Up to eight queer poets will bring their own texts to the stage this evening. It can be emotional, political, personal, funny, thoughtful, or surprising. Because at Slam with Pride, it's not a specific style that's in focus, but the diversity of queer voices.

What is Slam with Pride?

Slam with Pride is a queer-normative poetry slam in Vienna. This means: Queer perspectives are not on the sidelines on stage, but naturally at the center.

Up to eight queer people present self-written texts to the audience. At the same time, the evening creates space for encounters, emotions, and community. Colorful prizes also await the performing poets.

Previous Slam-with-Pride events at Villa Vida followed the same open format with up to eight queer performers and self-written texts.
