About this place Restaurant Cheng

Restaurant Cheng offers a welcoming and inclusive dining experience in the heart of Vienna, conveniently located near the Mozart museum. Visitors frequently praise the excellent Chinese and Asian dishes, noting the generous portion sizes and good value, especially for the lunch menu. Many highlight the deliciousness of various items, from spring rolls and soups to main courses and dim sum. The establishment is noted for its friendly and polite service, with the owner often mentioned for her warm smile and knowledgeable approach. While the food is consistently rated highly, one visitor described the atmosphere as reminiscent of a canteen. Despite this, the overall sentiment points to a pleasant dining option for those seeking something different from traditional Viennese fare. With strong ratings from both Google and Tripadvisor, it's a reliable choice for a satisfying meal.

A simple spot for authentic Chinese food. The hot and sour soup was fantastic, with reasonable prices and generous portions. Service was good, though the emphasis on adding a tip wasn’t the best part.

The restaurant offers authentic Chinese cuisine. Some dishes require a wait of about 20 minutes, but it's worth the wait.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this restaurant for vegetarians. There's too little choice, especially hardly any tofu dishes, meat substitutes, or anything else. The vegetarian noodle soup tastes rather bland, and the gyozas are neither fresh nor flavorful.
