Novotel Charleroi Centre

Everything was very clean. The staff were very friendly and spoke good English. Otherwise, it was unfortunately totally overpriced: €17 for parking in the car park for one night and €23 for breakfast = extortionate. The room was surprisingly quiet, but I found it oppressive that the windows couldn't be opened.

Very disappointing experience – far below Novotel / Accor standards I stayed at Novotel Charleroi Centre from 17 to 29 May 2026 for a business trip, and this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had as a corporate guest. From the moment I arrived, the issues started: The first room had visible mold, moisture damage, and unacceptable bathroom conditions. After relocation, the toilet in the new room became severely clogged during normal use and stopped functioning. No technician was available — I was given a plunger and expected to fix it myself. A restaurant employee later attempted a repair, which was unsuccessful. Another serious concern was that I clearly informed the staff that I carry medication requiring refrigeration. Despite this, I was repeatedly offered rooms with non-functioning or inadequate refrigerators, which created significant stress. The situation escalated further due to extremely unprofessional behavior from a receptionist (Nathan) on 20 May. When I politely asked for escalation: he refused to assist, said he would call the police, and told me to go back to my room instead of resolving the issue. Due to all of the above, I was forced to shorten my stay by one week and move to another hotel. This case has already been escalated to Accor Customer Care (case #23997786) and also internally within my company for review of compliance with corporate travel standards. Overall, this experience was extremely stressful and far below the level of service expected from Accor. I hope management takes this seriously.

The best time ever at this hotel. Hundred percent recommend. The hotel itself was a great location for travelling all around Belgium and the staff at this hotel was Amalli, Emilie and Daniel who served us tonight, were brilliant (we were here from Monday 25th to Thursday 28th may 2026) The food was amazing ( not expensive) and tasted great. Honestly couldn’t recommend higher. We travel quite frequently and this hotel and their staff are great. Thank you soooo much for your hospitality. They were so lovely with our 7 and 9 year old too ❤️

Nice, clean room, nice hotel in the ugliest city in the world.

We definitely aren't coming back to this hotel and we recommend you to look for another accommodation. In our experience the hotel is very dirty, the common areas and the rooms. In the common areas we saw the floor really dirty, the tables were cleaned with a cloth that leave them smelling terrible, during breakfast time we saw dirty plates (on the pile it suppose to be the clean one for you to take). In the room the furniture and carpet with stains, the walls with stains and grubby, and we find hairs that weren't ours on the bed. We leave with some positives: the staff is nice and the bed was comfortable.
