The Hide

The Hide is a cool place to stay, with large comfortable rooms. It's clean with everything you need. I'd recommend this place for a long or short stay in Ghent.

An exciting experience in Ghent, Belgium. The Hide uses smart control to unlock gates and doors via codes, as well as lighting control. We were on the ground/basement floor. The apartment is well furnished. It has a kitchen, dining room, bedroom, closet, bathroom and toilet. I note that there is no door between the toilet and the bedroom, only a curtain. This creates discomfort. There is also no curtain between the toilet and the bathroom. The room does not have a mop and I recommend purchasing one. The bathtub leaks when trying to fill it and this is a prerequisite for flooding. There was a serious leak from the upper floor on the wall of our bedroom, which borders the toilet. The owners were aware of the problem and offered to change the room. The room is interesting and modernly furnished - there is a washing machine, dishwasher, dryer, coffee maker, microwave, stove, refrigerator, vacuum cleaner, hangers, cupboard and everything you need as dishes. The bed is comfortable. The sheets and duvets are clean. The floor was vacuumed but not washed. There are no bonus blankets available in the apartment, there is no ashtray - smokers are also human and need comfort, and the floor on the terrace was dirty and there were old cigarette butts, which we cleaned up! In case your stay there is on cooler days, bring thick pajamas and outerwear. I would visit The Hide again, but I would be happier if the above were removed and provided.

Really beautiful, only we had a power outage so nothing worked which was a shame because there was a very nice fireplace!

5 Stars – A Hidden Gem in Ghent! We had the great pleasure of staying at The Hide in Ghent – ​​and it was simply fantastic! The hotel's attention to design and quality is immediately apparent upon entering the hotel. Our room was a real highlight: very modern, stylishly furnished, yet incredibly cozy and unique. Clean lines, high-quality materials, and thoughtful details make the stay truly special. Everything was spotlessly clean, the bed super comfortable, and the technology state-of-the-art – from the smart lighting system and air conditioning to the stylish rain shower in the bathroom. You immediately notice that great importance is placed on aesthetics and comfort. The location is also perfect: quiet, yet close to everything that makes Ghent so charming. Please note! If you arrive by car and want to use the perfect parking space in the courtyard with two wallboxes, you must register your car for the Ghent Low Emission Zone. The whole process can be done online in two minutes and is free of charge. We received the permit within just one day. I would come back anytime – The Hide is definitely not a run-of-the-mill hotel, but a real insider tip for design lovers.

Beautiful, modern, spacious apartment in a 1930s house. Equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. Right in the city center, yet very quiet inside the building. Secure paid parking behind the building on private grounds.

I had a quite spatious studio, nicely equipped, comfortable bad, very well working heating, very clean. Good location. The only minor problem was that my entrance code arrived somewhat late, making me a bit nervous for a while, but then everything worked perfectly.

I love "inhumane" hotels. Especially when you receive clear instructions for check-in and parking. In this case, everything was beyond praise. An extremely clear, detailed description with all the necessary explanatory photos allowed us to easily enter the parking lot and check into our Daydream room. You can tell this is the work of a skilled interior designer, and perhaps even an architect. We have some experience planning and furnishing apartments, so we can appreciate the high standard. Everything was very well thought out. The execution, however, turned out a little worse than planned. It's unlikely the designer intended a creaking staircase leading to a bed located on the "roof" of a separate bathroom. And the toilet is positioned in such a way that a short person sitting on it wouldn't be able to reach the floor with their feet. But this doesn't detract from the overall impression of the hotel. However, what really spoiled our impression was the lack of hot water in the room. Or at least, there were no instructions on how to get it. No, all the faucets have two pipes. And one of those pipes should probably be hot water. But in reality, the water flowing there felt no warmer than 30 degrees Celsius. I don't know about others, but we prefer to shower with water at least 41 degrees Celsius. And in this case, the hotel's "inhumanity" was a major drawback, because no one answered our WhatsApp calls.

A great place for a couple to spend a pleasant day or night in Ghent. The apartment (Jackie Cane) is very tastefully decorated and has all the necessary amenities. The hallway, elevator, and rooms smell lovely. Excellent location – close to the city center and great restaurants. I recommend it.

Don't book the room with the hanging bed if you want a good night's sleep. It's impossible to sleep; the slightest movement and the bed creaks and moves, making it very uncomfortable. Nevertheless, the space is very nice, the room spacious. Please note: there's no reception desk, so if you have any questions, you're on your own.
