Hi Flanders Lier - Cultuurhostel Bed Muzet

Unfortunately, this will be our last time at the youth hostel. As a family, we try to make the most of it, but once again, it is impossible to sleep due to the noise disturbance. If you want to sleep peacefully, an African party with a loudspeaker starts at 9:30 PM on the terrace at the entrance of the youth hostel, right below your room. The police were called. It is very unfortunate, but we will not be returning here. We enjoy visiting youth hostels, but this is not recommended for families with small children. Otherwise, the rooms are fine as always, the reception is friendly, and the location is beautiful, but there are a number of 'long-stay guests' staying here who clearly live it up in the evenings and at night. This concerns a minority, as the other guests (families, cyclists, couples) did not do this. It would be nice if the youth hostel exercised more control over this type of disturbance so that it is quiet from 10 PM onwards. As it was, the party went on until 11:30 PM.

We were on a cycling weekend with 6 friends. The reception was very friendly; there was no more space in the bike storage, but we were allowed to put our bikes in a garage/storage room. The room was very spartan and small, but clean (we didn't expect anything else). Breakfast was also very simple. The price reflected that and was therefore certainly fair. The location was really great. And the building was also very beautiful.

I only spent one night there but the welcome was really very friendly and the place was magnificent and super well maintained....I will come back!
