Alekta Hotel

This is probably a 3.5 star place. The room are spacious and clean but everything (including the breakfast) is a bit too simple without any “little extra” which might make you happy or the experience a bit nicer. The hotel was empty but still we got a room on the second floor with no sea view. The pool is really small and I couldn’t see any chair or beds where you can take a sun bathe by the pool. Overall the vibes were not happy although I cannot pinpoint the exact issues.

Average hotel, small but nice pool. Very meager breakfast. I find it lacking in this and other, even better, hotels that don't offer fresh orange juice. If you don't get up early, there's not much left at the buffet. Overall, what I expected.

We chose this hotel based on good reviews and its convenient location along the E87, ideal for a night's rest before continuing on our way. We arrived at 11:30 PM on September 5. The hotel's parking lot, which only accommodates about 10 cars, was full, so we had to park across the street from the neighboring hotel. Everything would have been fine if not for the surprise the next morning—all the windshield wipers were up, thank goodness they didn't rip them out! The room's cleanliness and overall condition could have been improved. It was a bit dirty, a couple of the outlets were sagging, the bathroom floor hadn't been cleaned properly, there was hair from previous guests, no slippers, no water provided in the room/upon arrival, and the air conditioning wasn't working. It was a bit hot. If we weren't tired from the journey, we would have definitely asked for a room upgrade or for the air conditioning to be fixed, but we just wanted to rest and relax... Perhaps for $89 a night it would have been fine. Overall, the hotel is good. The well-maintained grounds, the pool and balconies, the beautiful view, and the convenient location. A wonderful breakfast awaited me in the morning. I believe the rooms will be renovated and will definitely be cleaned better!

The rooms are clean, but there are no slippers. No robes, no shoehorns. There is a sea view. It's quiet at night, so you won't wake up on time.

The hotel is wonderful! I saw that there are reviews related to the air conditioning, in fact it does have one and it is quite powerful. It is clean everywhere, the service is great, the rooms are bright and cozy, the breakfast was very varied and everything we tried was extremely delicious, their coffee is top notch too. Overall the hotel is quite well made, style is incorporated and it exudes tranquility. The pool is clean, maybe a little small, but that is not a problem at all. There are parking spaces, which are free. Definitely if I decide to visit Varna again, my accommodation will be the same. We had no problems with the reservation and accommodation, everything was fine.

At first glance, the hotel seemed fine. The first male receptionist was quite relaxed and friendly. However, when we asked another female receptionist if we could get a packed breakfast to go since we were leaving early, she flatly refused, stating that breakfast is only served from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Our room was missing some basic amenities: there was no waste bin and no proper space to put our belongings. A hairdryer was also absent. The bathroom and its drain are designed in a very peculiar way. Upon entering the room, there was a strange bleach-like smell. In the bathroom, there weren't enough hooks or hangers for towels. The sink was dirty and had some kind of crumbs near the mirror. The mattresses were decent enough, but upon closer inspection, they had some odd crumbs on them. On the terrace, there were two chairs but no table. The air conditioning turned on automatically whenever it pleased. The hotel is located right next to a busy road, and there was no "Do Not Disturb" sign for the door. Lastly, the Wi-Fi signal was weak.
