About this place Troubadour Jazz Caffe

The Troubadour (Jazz Caffe Troubadour) is a long-running jazz cafe and bar on Bunićeva poljana, tucked just behind Dubrovnik Cathedral in the heart of the walled Old Town. It is known for intimate live-jazz evenings and pavement tables set against the medieval stone, drawing an easygoing international crowd. Gay travel guides consistently recommend it as one of the most welcoming, gay-friendly hangouts in Dubrovnik. It is not a gay venue as such, but a relaxed spot for a drink before or after a night at nearby MILK, the city's gay bar.

A wonderful discovery in Dubrovnik! The cocktails are excellent and the atmosphere is really great. The live jazz adds something special; we had a great evening. The musicians were really good and the place has a lot of charm. A place not to be missed if you like good cocktails and live music. We will come back with pleasure, that's for sure!!

Such a lovely little spot. Suprised at how quiet it was on a busy Thursday night in the old town! Definitely underrated as surrounding bars were packed, live music was absolutely perfect two musicians playing the violin and piano. We just had some drinks so I'm unsure what the food is like but drinks were good and the waiter was very attentive, I highly recommend this place!

We are staying very nearby and wanted somewhere with live music. This place is perfect for laid back music, great hosts, drinks and hospitality. Even on an awful night of rain and cold they are entertaining, making sure we are comfortable with blankets and gas fires. It was raining and the singer performed ‘singing in the rain’ at my husbands request 👏👏👏 This is what hospitality is all about. We have been here 3 out of 5 nights and hope to squeak in one more before we return to the UK. When the server remembers your drinks, makes sure you are happy and comfortable, what’s not to like? If they did some vegan food we would eat here too.

I'd asked for a burger without cheese, it had clearly been cooked with cheese. When I sent it back, they just pulled (most of) the cheese off and sent it back out. It was cold, sent it back again and they microwaved the same burger and sent it back... Cucumber was hotter than the burger itself. My wife's mussels were mostly still closed, no bowl offered for disposal of the shells. Don't eat here! At least the waiting staff had the decency to look embarrassed.

We happen to stumble across this little restaurant, we are so glad we did. There was live Jazz being played by a lovely man who entertained all evening. Our waiter was lovely and very attentive and polite. The food was sensational and delivered very quickly. Highly recommend to anyone especially if you appreciate live music. Lauren and Tom

I had a wonderful experience at Troubadour Jazz Brasserie. The atmosphere was incredibly cozy and inviting—perfect for unwinding after a long day in Dubrovnik. Andre provided outstanding service—he was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right without ever being overbearing. You can tell he genuinely cares about the experience of his guests. The drinks were phenomenal—well-balanced, beautifully presented, and absolutely enjoyable. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re looking for great service, excellent drinks, and a warm, relaxed ambiance.

Great little brasserie and bar off the main streets of the old town. Didn’t eat here but food looked great and a good menu and vibe. Friendly service and a lovely place to while away a few hours people watching, with a drink in the sun.
