Marjan Forest Park

Marjan is the pine-covered peninsula on the western edge of Split. It is a protected forest park with walking trails and small beaches, and it has long been listed as the city's main outdoor gay cruising area. Reports say the quieter trails and the rocky coves past Kašjuni Beach are most used, mainly in summer and during daylight. We have no recent confirmation. Same-sex activity is legal in Croatia, but public indecency is not, and Marjan is busy with walkers, runners and families. Stay away from the family beaches, be discreet, take your litter with you, and read the situation before approaching anyone.
