Udruga Rišpet

Udruga Rišpet is the Split-based LGBTQ+ organisation best known as the driving force behind Split Pride. Formed by the volunteers who staged the city's first Pride march in 2011 — a first edition that met thousands of counter-protesters — the group has kept the event going every June since, making it Croatia's second major Pride after Zagreb. Beyond the annual march and its accompanying Pride Month programme, Rišpet founded and helps run LGBT Centar Split, a shared community space for Dalmatia's queer groups. The organisation works on visibility, community support and advocacy across a region that remains more conservative than the capital.
