Esplanade Zagreb Hotel

We regularly booked this hotel because, according to locals, it's the most exclusive and best hotel in Zagreb. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed on our last visit. Please see the photos. We showed the photos to the receptionist at checkout and subsequently sent a complaint email, which has yet to be answered. It's disheartening to see that even a renowned 5-star hotel is succumbing to the trend of processing customers as a mass and quickly cashing in.

The only real 5* hotel in Zagreb, all praise!

An excellent hotel in the heart of Zagreb. We stayed here as part of our honeymoon and were looked after very well from arrival until we checked out. The room was tastefully decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable. We would highly recommend staying here as part of a city break as everything is within easy walking distance or connected by good transport links.

Our stay at the Esplanade Zagreb was outstanding, thanks to the incredible hospitality of the staff. Helena and Josipa at Reception made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. Even though the hotel was exceptionally busy, they gave us their full attention, provided excellent recommendations, and remembered our names throughout our stay. Their warmth and professionalism made us feel like valued guests. I also want to recognize Mijo in the bar, who provided exceptional service with a friendly smile, great attention to detail, and genuine care to ensure we had everything we needed. As an airline Customer Service Supervisor, I have high expectations for customer service, and these three employees exceeded them. They are wonderful ambassadors for the Esplanade and are a big reason we will happily return. Thank you for making our visit to Croatia so memorable!

This hotel is in a perfect location. Everything was walkable.

I have been staying at Hotel Esplanad for more than ten years. I visit several times a year, and the hotel has always lived up to my expectations. The atmosphere is wonderful, the staff are fantastic, and the location is excellent, right in the heart of the city.

Excellent historic hotel. But needs a pool.

The location is very convenient. Parking is available, and someone will help you park. It costs 50 euros for just one night, which is very expensive. And some of the staff weren't very friendly. I felt like I owed them money. But it doesn't matter; many service staff in the Balkans are like that.
