About This Event

Zagreb Pride is Croatia's main Pride march, and it is still political first: a protest walk through the capital with a list of demands, followed by a free concert. The first march was held on 29 June 2002, and in the early years marchers were physically attacked even with riot police walking alongside them. Today it passes off peacefully. In 2026 Zagreb police reported no incidents and no interventions, even though the Antunovski hod, a Catholic procession, was also held in the city centre the same day.

The format is simple. Marchers gather in the afternoon, walk through the centre and finish with speeches and an evening music programme. The organizer is Zagreb Pride, an LGBTIQ rights association that also works on campaigns the rest of the year. It's free and needs no registration. It's held in June, so bring water.

The 25th edition took place on Saturday 6 June 2026. The march left Zrinjevac at 15:30 and ended on Trg dr. Franje Tuđmana, where the music started at 18:30. Thousands took part, but no official count was published. The organizers' message was about solidarity and visibility. They pointed out that adoption rights and the legal position of trans, non-binary and intersex people are still unresolved. The 2027 date hadn't been announced when we checked; the march is usually on a Saturday in early or mid-June.
