Zagreb Pride 2027
About This Event
Zagreb Pride is Croatia's biggest LGBTQ+ event. It was the first Pride march in any post-Yugoslav country, starting in 2002. For years, it was a fight, sometimes dangerous. Now it's an annual celebration that draws up to 15,000 people.
The parade goes through central Zagreb. Pride Week runs alongside it, with cultural events, parties, and film screenings from Queer Zagreb. Community gatherings fill the week. It's the busiest time on Zagreb's LGBTQ+ calendar.
Rush Club and the gay bars on Tkalčićeva street put on special Pride events all week.
Early Prides in Zagreb needed police protection; there were violent incidents. But the event slowly became normal. That history makes Zagreb Pride one of the most important in Central and Eastern Europe. It shows what community organizing can do, even when politics are against you.
