About this place Almyra Hotel

The Almyra is the most design-conscious hotel in Paphos — a property that has invested seriously in aesthetic coherence, from the architecture to the room furnishings to the poolside experience. It sits directly on the waterfront in Kato Paphos, within walking distance of the archaeological park, the Paphos fort, and the harbour promenade. The hotel is well-known in LGBTQ+ travel circles as a reliably welcoming option in Paphos. The combination of its design sensibility, international clientele, and professional service creates an environment where same-sex couples are treated with complete normalcy. The pool area is one of the hotel's main assets: a large freshwater pool facing the sea, with comfortable sunbeds and a poolside bar. Paphos Airport is about 15 minutes by taxi.

Giving 3 stars cause the rating means good. I rate after having been to other 5 star hotels on the island. In short, location was fantastic, service was nice, rooms ok, function of the facility could be better. Good hotel for the kids, not as many spa amenities as others, ok breakfast. Maintenance team was great in addressing an issue quickly when reported but made for an unpleasant morning. Overall not a bad hotel just not the 5 star we were expecting.

Amazing hotel, beautiful and spacious rooms, neat and clean pools, good and caring staff. Both in the restaurants, breakfasts and bars. High-level room service, cleaned twice a day. Elzira was our cleaner and she is amazing, made sure everything was clean and tidy all the time. Highly recommend !

"Exceptional! Simply perfect in every sense of the word! The rooms are amazing, clean in a way I have never seen before and believe I won't find in any other hotel (a gleaming bathroom!), with a pleasant design and a breathtaking view. The food is completely fresh; even the orange juice at the breakfast buffet is freshly squeezed on-site from real oranges, the fruit salad is varied and fresh, cut right there, and the cooked food is a culinary delight with precise flavors! There is a wide variety of options available when booking full board—we didn't even manage to try all the restaurants the hotel offers to its guests, but in every single restaurant we did eat at, the food was a true culinary experience. The staff—just as every single detail in the hotel is simply 'wow' and carefully chosen, so is the human capital. Everyone without exception is patient, polite, always smiling, and willing to help with anything. They are generous and empathetic, attentive, respectful, and always strive to provide the absolute best response possible, and nothing less. There is one experience I feel I simply must share. On our last day, our flight was late, and we wanted to enjoy the sea and the pool and take a shower before leaving, but check-out was at 12:00 PM. They gladly offered us the use of the spa showers, but since the spa is for ages 16 and up and we had a young daughter with us, the hotel front desk staff gave me a key to an unoccupied room that was clean and fully prepared for guests, just so we could shower the little girl comfortably—all without asking for any payment, purely out of generosity and respect for the guests. This was an experience that will stay with me as a symbol of exemplary customer service and, more importantly, human relations and empathy that deserve the highest level of appreciation. Truly, truly, I am at a loss for words. Simply a perfect experience. I don't know how I will ever manage to enjoy staying anywhere else after the experience at this hotel. No other hotel will ever be able to live up to the high standard set by this one. Thank you so much."

Second time staying here (third if you count Anabelle next door, same owners). First time child-free and this time solo with a 6 month old Kids' Club / Creche - Exceptional staff, very low staff-child ratio (it was 121 when we were there). The staff are very warm, attentive and child-focused and available on WhatsApp. Handover is effective with communication of when fed/slept/changed. Lena, Ruth, Ruby-they were all great. Dawn, the baby sitter, was brilliant too. Restaurant staff: Great staff such as Milen (who has been there for years) and Veronika. I have a severe nut allergy and I really appreciated Milen always remembered and all staff were very quick in bringing the high chair and attentive, especially as I was alone. "Baby Go Lightly" - hotel have complimentary service where you can order travel cot, baby bath, play mat, bouncer and steriliser. Note - They no longer do an evening Buffet, it is a la carte in one of Almyra or Annabelle restaurants
