Prague's gay scene has grown from a handful of quiet spots into a real nightlife circuit, from underground drag pubs to sleek cocktail bars. Most of it happens in Vinohrady, the established gay neighbourhood around Namesti Miru metro station, with a few extra spots in Zizkov and the Old Town.

Vinohrady — The Gay Quarter

Think of Vinohrady as Prague's Soho or Marais: a residential neighbourhood with a lot of LGBTQ+ people, a tight cluster of bars, and a relaxed, local feel. The streets around Namesti Miru hold the most gay venues.

    • Club Termix (Vinohradska 40, Prague 2) is the city's best-known gay dance club. It relocated here in 2025 after two decades on Trebizskeho, and still fills up Wednesday, Friday and Saturday with a young local crowd.
    • The Saints (Polska 32, Prague 2) is a cosy, British-run gay bar with English-speaking staff — one of the easier spots for first-time visitors.
    • Bar 21 (Rimska 21, Prague 2) is a small cellar bar decorated with local art, quiet early and livelier later. A classic neighbourhood gay bar.
    • Destiny Club (V Tunich 10, Prague 2), formerly JampaDampa, is the city's main lesbian-leaning LGBTQ+ bar-club, with regular themed nights.
    • Factory Club (Vinohradska 63, Prague 2) is a three-floor gay fetish and cruise club with darkrooms and a small shop — the harder-edged end of the scene.
    • Heaven Club and Club Garage are the go-to spots for dancing and a cruisier late crowd.

    Gay Cafes

    • Q Cafe (Opatovicka 12, New Town) is a long-running two-floor gay cafe-bar with an art gallery, popular with LGBTQ+ locals from afternoon into the night.
    • Celebrity Cafe (Vinohradska 40, Vinohrady) is an all-day gay cafe best known for its Sunday Divas' Drag Brunch.
    • Cafe Flirt (Martinska 5, Old Town) is a relaxed cafe by day and music bar by night, handy for a central stop.

    Old Town — For Visitors

    • Friends (Bartolomejska 11, Prague 1) is the biggest gay drinking spot in the Old Town, easy to find and popular with tourists and a younger crowd.

    Smichov & Zizkov — Late Night

    • Drake's Bar & Club (Zborovska 50, Smichov) is a long-running all-male gay cruise and fetish club, open around the clock.
    • UP&DOWN Bar & Club (Seifertova, Zizkov) runs on two levels and keeps late hours, in the space that was for years the famous Pinocchio.
⚠ Good to know: The scene is compact and walkable — you can hop between Vinohrady bars on foot in minutes. Public displays of affection are fine inside venues and in central areas; keep an eye on belongings in tourist spots. Prague Pride in August is when the whole scene peaks.
