Friends is a gay bar in a vaulted cellar on Bartolomějská, between Národní třída and the river. It is one of the easiest places in Prague for visitors to start a night out, with English-speaking staff, a dance floor, video screens and themed or karaoke nights through the week. It opens at 15:00 every day and runs until 05:00 on Friday and Saturday. The cellar gets busy after 23:00 at weekends. Drinks are cheap. The crowd is mainly tourists and expats mixed with Czech regulars, and the music is mainstream pop. Národní třída metro is a few minutes' walk.

Always a good experience. I've been going there regularly for years. Mixed crowd, from young to old. Good music, the shows are funny. Prices are moderate, perhaps a bit high for the Czech Republic. Card payments are accepted. I advise against paying in cash in euros due to the unfavorable exchange rate.
