Hotel Leonardo Prague works as a decent home base for LGBTQ+ travelers in the Czech capital.
You’ll find it at 7 Betlémská, right in Old Town, which means you can walk to the Charles Bridge and Old Town Square. The building used to be a post office, and you can still see some of that character, though it’s been updated for comfort.
Rooms and suites feel big. They put antique pieces in each one, a nod to Prague’s Art Nouveau past, so no two stays feel quite the same. The breakfast is a highlight: you can eat it in the Platina cellar, under those Romanesque arches, or outside in the courtyard by the fountain. It’s a good way to ease into the day.
Prague has a lively LGBTQ+ scene, and the hotel’s central spot means you're close to it. Gay cafes and bars are just minutes away, so it's easy enough to find a crowd. If you’re here for the history, the culture, or just to check out Prague’s queer scene, this hotel puts you right in the middle of it all. For bookings, head to hotelleonardo.cz/en.

Excellent and amazing hospitality. Staff are helpful.
We stayed in the Royal Suite room. The room was large with a sitting area, very clean, and the view of Prague castle was amazing! The hotel itself is adorable and cozy with lots of books in tasteful displays. There was a lot of small tables and chairs and a sitting area off the lobby to sit. There is a courtyard for an afternoon drink or morning breakfast. They had blankets draped on the chairs to use in case you were chilly. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Iryna at the reception was kind and helpful before and after my stay (thank you Iryna!). The restaurant in the hotel, Parzival, is a tasting and wine pairing menu and it is out of this world amazing! The food and wine was outstanding (and my husband is a chef and he loved every minute of it!) . I can't wait to return and I will recommend to others
Love staying at Bookqet. Decorated with taste, great location and amazing breakfast
Good rooms, good breakfast, the staff were generally fine. The arrival wasn't very pleasant; the gentleman at reception and the woman who showed us the facilities made no effort to understand us, even after I asked him to speak slowly in English so I could understand. However, upon departure, the two young men who were there found a way to communicate perfectly.
I recently stayed at Hotel BOOKQUET. I would like to highly commend the reception team—they were extremely cooperative and made us feel very welcome. That being said, the housekeeping service was a bit disappointing, and I had several notes regarding their attention to detail. I hope management addresses this, as the hotel has great potential.
Be very cautious in the rooms this hotel has the old style switches that hold 2 metal screws in the sides, I got electrocuted when I tired to turn off the bathroom switch. When I went down and told them about this incident the receptionist guy very casually asked me, if my hands were wet? Come on are you for real dude…such a stupid question and regardless of whether or not my hands were wet, I should not have been electrocuted. They refused to acknowledge the seriousness of what happened!! I asked them to change my room which they did and put me in another room which did not have the old style switches, I think they were well aware of the situation and were downplaying it, due to cost associated to change the lame switches. Overall horrible service, their ac was not working the pillows were cheap quality and no one would ever answer the call. I’m not sure what it would take the management to address this issue with seriousness, this could be dangerous!!
We really enjoyed staying at Hotel BOOKQUET. The location was great, the staff were very polite and welcoming. The room was very spacious and clean. I would surely recommend this if you are planning a trip to Prague and want to visit all the main attractions!
