About this place Letna Park

Letna Park (Letenske sady) is Prague's long-standing outdoor gay cruising area, spread across the wooded hill above the river in Holesovice, with the slopes around the Hanavsky Pavilion the traditional focus. It is busiest in the warmer months and on summer evenings and weekends, and quieter or hit-and-miss midweek. The Czech Republic is one of the more relaxed countries in the region and consensual same-sex activity is legal, but this is a public park: keep to areas away from families and playgrounds, be discreet, watch your belongings after dark, and respect anyone who is not interested. It is an easy walk or tram ride from the centre.

This is a very beautiful and large park where you can relax and enjoy nice weather. The park has plenty of benches where you can sit and unwind. The view from the park is also very impressive, offering a great panorama over the entire city. When we visited, it was quite busy due to the good weather, which really shows how lively the place is. There was even a guy with a DJ booth playing music outdoors, which added even more atmosphere to the park.

A great view, but lots of graffiti and very rubbish. The park itself is nice and pleasant to walk in. However, the restaurant located there has unreasonably high prices. We left to have lunch elsewhere. We went to the Metronome which unfortunately is completely scribbled and there were lots of debris. The park is still well worth a visit if you are in Prague.

Excellent views of the city during the day or night. We went to Hanau pavilion which is on one of the viewing points. Stunning views. Food and drink was ok. We went there first thing, and they only had 1 coke! The cakes are housed in a fridge, but 1 of them tasted a bit funny, like it had been sat next to another more pungent smell. The park is nice to walk round. A few toilets dotted about. There was quite a lot of graffiti about which took away some of the charm. Lots of people, a mixture of students and tourists sit up by the metronome with a few drinks and watch the sun go down over the city. We got there by taking the number 22 tram. It goes all the way up the hill, and around the back of the park and the "castle". That will save you some walking!

Stunning views, but parts of the park feel a bit run‑down Letná Park is a lovely green space with fantastic views over Prague’s bridges, but my experience was a bit mixed. The walk up involves a long set of steps, and every section was covered in graffiti, which really takes away from what could be a really scenic approach. At the top, the beer garden wasn’t quite what I expected. It’s essentially a small wooden building with a few basic tables and chairs outside. It’s fine for a quick drink, but definitely not the charming or atmospheric spot some reviews make it sound like. Once you’re in the park itself, it’s peaceful and spacious, and the views across the river are genuinely beautiful. It’s a nice place for a stroll, but just be aware that some areas feel a bit tired and could use some attention.

Letna Park has some of the best panoramic views in Prague. There are wide green lawns and tree-lined paths, perfect for walking and picnics. There are also beer gardens, making it a great spot to spot and enjoy.

A nice walk in the park.Good views over the Prague City. It’s a huge park on top of a hill. We went by bus which stop at the entrance of the park. The first part is an ascent of about one 1 km.

The view of the center of Prague from Letná Park is great, and the park is perfect for hiking or picnics. Praha 6 has historic sites such as Prague Castle, Strahov Monastery and Petín Hill observation tower, and some gourmet restaurants and Czech pubs. It is easy to get to other places due to the tram-bus line. Although there are trees in the streets, some places are dirty due to lack of maintenance, and there is no peace due to the crowd and noise at the weekend. There is a mixture of history and modernity, but more cleanliness is needed.

Wonderful park within walking distance form Prague's old town. Beautiful views of the city and it's bridges. Lush green vegetation, stunning in autumn. Romantic walk and lake.
