What you can expect from a Hostel in the middle of the town. Sounds from the partying city in the more respektabel level, only handsoab on the toilets/showers and no where to put your luggage other then leaving all in the bag and having it on the floor. Simple, and nothing else.

It's a hotel we book a private room with ahared Washroom, very near to the cannel. The washroom was very clean, all the time, they have a lot of activities and baloney you can use. We enjoyed our 1 night stay. The people in front desk are amazing. Could not say the same for the others.

The hotel was horrible. The service was fine but at me and my friends room we got bitten by bed bugs. It was unpleasant and many lights were broken. The bugs were on the walls and beds. Our friend also got scratches but she sleeps in the lower bunk alone. The scratches were big and she got them by only 3 nights. Bad experience would never again.

⚠️ Look elsewhere for safe accommodation in Aarhus. (Roberta's Society is much safer in my experience). During my stay at Danhostel, I reported a roommate, who is a "regular", for active harassment. Upon reporting the incident, hostel staff explicitly disclosed to me that this specific resident already had a known history of inappropriate behavior with their own staff. Instead of choosing to remove the harassing resident, they moved me onto a different floor with a private door. I then expected a quiet removal of the resident or at least the harassment to cease. The resident's behavior continued. I reported again and was told "there is nothing we can do". Days after my move to another floor and a private room, management chose to move this known harasser into the exact same wing as me. Given how the hostel is set up, this resident and I would be sharing showers/bathrooms, with no way to lock the door from my *shower* stall. I had no choice but to leave early. Do not trust this establishment with your personal safety. They are aware of internal threats and choose to accommodate regulars with money over the security of travelers who speak up.

Super central - walking distance to everything I needed. Clean and tidy Really good breakfast Good service at reception. Would have liked separate bathrooms and toilet facilities.
