Just steps from the station, convenient, clean, and very friendly staff. Open 24 hours a day. Excellent value for money.
The Regina has become our go-to hotel every year, especially on the first weekend of June during the Soulac 1900 festivities. This charming hotel is ideally located right across from the Saint Jean train station. Every year, we are greeted with a smile. All the information we need is provided (and even more!). The building is splendid and wonderfully decorated with great taste and features that enhance the space. The rooms are very clean and designed to offer maximum comfort. There's even an elevator. Nothing is lacking. Moreover, the numerous thoughtful touches deserve to be highlighted. Honestly, at these prices, no other establishment can compete! If you love beautiful buildings and the unique atmosphere they exude, if you're looking for a friendly, attentive, and available yet discreet staff, if you're looking for a prime location in the city, look no further! Thank you to the entire team.
The hotel isn't bad, and the reception was good. The room was fine, but there was NO hot water, so it really wasn't great at all. When we reported it, we were told it was the only room in the hotel with this problem, so I don't understand why we were given it.
Passing through Bordeaux on a cycling trip, we chose this hotel for its proximity to the train station. The room was clean, the breakfast was plentiful and served from 5 am, and the staff was welcoming. This hotel is open 24/7. There are a few steps to take the bikes up the stairs. That's the only drawback.
I requested a room overlooking the patio (number 57). This part of the hotel hasn't been renovated (the common areas are really old-fashioned), but the room was clean and, most importantly, very quiet, which is a key factor for me. The air conditioning was good. The staff is very friendly (I met three of them), even with people just passing through (which was my case). The breakfast room is pleasant. However, the area around the train station in Bordeaux is definitely not the most attractive.
