Having had a good experience at the Jost in Montpellier, I wanted to try the one in Bordeaux... I shouldn't have bothered. The welcome was very cold and rushed. The person at breakfast was unfriendly and rudely asked if we had paid for breakfast... as if we were scammers. Nevertheless, the rooms are clean, although the bathtub opening directly into the room is a bit of a drawback, and the view isn't great. Personally, I won't be returning.
A hostel posing as a hotel. Bought what appeared a tiny room for the night. I was Extra careful to avoid ending up in a hostel dorm - it wasn't stated anywhere. Upon arrival I had to upgrade to a room. 110e in the end for a night, in a terrible room, 40 mins away from the centee. Spend your money elsewhere!
Very pleasant rooftop, perfect service, highly recommended!
I had booked two nights a week apart at this hotel. The first night was perfect. For the second night, I made a booking error. I had booked for the following day. The receptionist offered me a room for the unbooked evening and advised me to request a date change for the second night. Which I did the next morning. My request was refused, and I was charged for both nights: €115 and €145. This is perfectly legal but absolutely unacceptable, especially for someone who had booked a room twice in one week. I come to Bordeaux often. I will never return to the Jost Hotel. I recommend other, much more customer-friendly alternatives nearby, such as the Iibis Gare, which is closer to the train station, often cheaper, and has a better customer service.
Ahhh bro, it's amazing, you know? Little rooftop pool, clean and smooth linens, welcoming service, oh my goodness, we're spoiled rotten, right by the ocean current. Bernardino
Two-night stay, very nice and comfortable hotel. A young and attentive team. Training included breakfast and meals. Great job, well done to the whole team! Francois André
