What reviewers say

Many visitors praise the hotel's excellent location near the walled city and the warm, welcoming service, particularly from the lady of the house. However, a common complaint is that the rooms are tired and in need of modernization, with issues like worn carpets, mold, and plumbing problems mentioned.

About this place Hôtel des Quatre Sœurs

The Hôtel des Quatre Sœurs (Hotel of the Four Sisters) has stood on Cours du 30 Juillet since 1827, making it one of Bordeaux's oldest hotels. Richard Wagner stayed here in 1850 and left owing a considerable bill — a fact the hotel commemorates with a plaque and a certain pride. The 34-room boutique hotel has been extensively refurbished and sits in the golden triangle of Bordeaux's historic centre, equidistant from the Garonne, the Grand Théâtre and Place Gambetta. It features in several LGBTQ+ travel guides as one of Bordeaux's most character-filled gay-friendly hotels. The location is unbeatable for accessing both the Saint-Pierre gay scene and the Chartrons neighbourhood.

A hotel with old-fashioned charm, simple and efficient. Admittedly, the whole place is a bit dated, but the room prices are very reasonable, the location is more than ideal, and there's a public car park right across the street.

Excellent location. Very friendly staff. The only downside was that in March the air conditioning wasn't yet switched on and it was far too hot in the room.

Very comfortable room, very well soundproofed (overlooking the square), beautiful view, impeccably clean... The hotel and rooms could use a few minor repairs here and there. Basic but good breakfast. Very good value for money for a large deluxe double room.

Decent hotel for the price. Facilities and furnishings are old but well-maintained. Comfortable bed. Central location but quiet.
