Bordeaux Pride — Marche des Fiertés
About This Event
Bordeaux's Marche des Fiertés is the city's Pride march, organised by Le Girofard, Bordeaux's LGBTQIA+ centre. The first march was in 1996, put together by the associations Sapholles and For'hommes, and drew a few hundred people. The city says recent editions have had close to 12,000 marchers.
It happens on one Saturday afternoon. The route is about four kilometres, with a handful of floats (eight in 2026), and is kept quiet until shortly before the day. The march stops in front of the law courts for a minute's silence for victims of anti-LGBTQ violence and ends in a park with an evening party. Around it, the city runs a Mois des fiertés: several weeks of exhibitions, screenings, talks and shows, based at the cour Mably.
In 2026 the march was in late May, ahead of most French prides, so don't assume a late-June date.
The 30th-anniversary march was on Saturday 30 May 2026. It left Place des Quinconces at 1pm, stayed on the left bank because of works on the Pont de Pierre, and finished at the Parc des Sports Saint-Michel. Organisers hoped for 15,000 people, but we couldn't find a published final count. The 2027 date hadn't been announced when we checked.
