Brit Hotel Lille Centre

This hotel is absolutely to be avoided. The establishment is in a deplorable state: dirty, dilapidated, poorly maintained, with a general feeling of neglect. Nothing meets the minimum expectations one might have when booking a room. The worst part is the complete lack of honesty. I was asked for a deposit upon arrival, which was never returned, without any valid explanation. This is simply unacceptable and gives the impression of being scammed. The staff is incompetent, unprofessional, and incapable of properly handling problems. I would never set foot in this place again, and I strongly advise against this hotel for anyone seeking even a modicum of professionalism and respect.

Welcoming and friendly staff, location right next to metro line 1

The neighborhood is a bit dodgy! The room was clean, but the bathroom was small, especially the sink! The staff was pleasant, the meals were decent, and the breakfast selection was more than ample. We had a good night's sleep.

I booked, and they told me I needed a €100 deposit. Seriously ridiculous! Even a €100 deposit plus the cost of the night is ridiculous, lol. Shameful!

A very friendly welcome despite our late arrival. The room was clean and functional. The street wasn't noisy. Breakfast was okay. In short, everything went well.

Rooms: sufficiently spacious and clean. Only downside was the size of the shower 😅 Service: very welcoming - I booked the overnight package and the buffets and jarred meals were decent and appreciated. The same goes for breakfast. One minor point, but I suppose there's a good reason: the dinner service starts a bit late (7:30 pm). Location: near the Gambetta metro station... Quiet at night and in the morning.

A very bad experience. I was charged €69 due to a delay for which I am absolutely not responsible. Despite my efforts, no solution has been offered. The establishment refers me back to the platform, and the platform refers me back to the establishment—in the end, no one takes responsibility. It is unacceptable for a customer to find themselves in this situation, without a clear explanation or refund. I strongly advise against using them.

CREDIT CARD FRAUD Be careful at this hotel when paying by credit card. They keep your card information and then use it, without your authorization, to charge you for services you never used or requested. This is pure theft, and if they do this to every customer, it means they've found a way to enrich themselves, and who knows how much they can ultimately pocket... This is theft, and I'm going to report it. I stayed at this hotel once through Booking.com, and returning a few years later, the situation has really deteriorated. The staff used to be very professional, but now, in addition to the fact that they steal your bank details, you have an extremely dangerous environment, with drug addicts and syringes in hand, ready to attack you for a simple glance. I was charged €11 after my departure, without my consent (they kept and used my credit card information, which is illegal), for a breakfast I neither ordered nor ate. Yet, the day before, before entering the room, I paid and specified that I would not be having breakfast as I had to fast until noon for some medical examinations. The only positive thing was the nearby metro station. The rooms were only moderately clean, although I had the impression they were using the same towels for several guests. I used my own clothes to dry myself.
